THE SERIES
Thailand of My Heart
This is the series of watercolor small artworks, which I painted during my trip to Thailand. I depicted those places, moments, nature, flora and fauna that impressed me the most and stayed in my memory to keep me warm in cold weather.

The beginning of the story
Sometimes, you just need a break. Not a quick weekend getaway, but a real, long, soul-refreshing vacation. You catch yourself thinking, Maybe I should just leave? Go far, far away! Drop everything and take time for myself... Long enough to actually get tired of resting.

But then, fear kicks in. How could I just walk away? What would happen to everything without me? Surely, it would all fall apart!

Yet the thought keeps creeping back. Quietly, you start to wonder. How is it possible that an adult, living their own life, can't give themselves just one month off? And then you realize—it's been 20 years, and you've never taken a whole month for yourself. At most, 10 days here and there. That realization hits, and resolve starts to build. You tell people about your plan. Some cheer you on, some feel a pang of envy, some laugh and say they haven't done that in forever, and then there are the clients—horrified at the thought of surviving without you for a whole month.

But once you've said it out loud, it starts to take shape. The thought you sent out into the universe becomes action. And suddenly, there you are—on a plane above the clouds, then in a taxi, and finally standing in front of a little house with a thatched roof on the beautiful island of Koh Samui. That same night, you’re floating weightlessly in a pool, staring up at the palm trees and lush tropical vines that hang overhead.
You can't believe it—you're here. You’ve come to soak up the sun, take leisurely walks, and unwind for all of cold, dreary February.

And guess what? The world didn’t fall apart without you. Everything is just fine.
As you close your eyes and take it all in, you feel something unexpected—you envy yourself. Like a kid with pockets stuffed full of candy, you can’t help but marvel at this sweet, stolen moment.
