This ongoing art project explores the act of looking and its influence on the fabric of our lives. Through painting, graphic works, small art objects, and installations, I examine the shifting relationship between the observer and the observed, the visible and the hidden, the desire for connection and the fear of being truly seen. We move between different roles every day. Sometimes we observe deliberately, sometimes we become involuntary witnesses, and sometimes we find ourselves under the gaze of others without even noticing it. We watch, compare, judge, and are judged in return, often mistaking appearances for truth. The digital world has expanded our field of vision almost beyond measure. We are invited into countless чужие lives, absorbing other people's images, dreams, and experiences until their desires begin to blur with our own.
While looking into distant worlds, we can overlook what is happening right beside us, even as parts of our own lives quietly fall apart. We long to be noticed, understood, and supported, yet we often present carefully constructed versions of ourselves, revealing only what we believe will be accepted. Surrounded by images and constant visibility, genuine connection can become harder to find. Rather than offering answers, the project invites us to pause and question how we look at others, how we want to be seen, and what remains beyond the image. What do we really see when we look, and what might we be missing?
This series will be updated with new works. I still have unspoken thoughts about it.
