The Art clock
Parallel Time Zone
The art clock “Parallel Time Zone”. Motherhood exists in a time loop of its own, where days blur, nights stretch endlessly, and the concept of weekends disappears. A mother often struggles to recall the current date, barely distinguishing one month from another. This resin clock, filled with tiny baby figurines and fragments of green shattered glass, embodies the inescapable cycle of caregiving. The infants, suspended in hazy resin, symbolize the way a mother is fully immersed: drowning in love, exhaustion, and duty.
The endless repetition of feedings, sleep routines, and care blurs into a surreal Groundhog Day, where each morning brings the same challenges. The crushing realization that tomorrow will be just like today fuels both despair and the need for unwavering endurance. A mother’s time does not follow the world’s clock; it moves in endless, repetitive waves, trapping her in a timeless existence.
