THE Artwork of 6 photos
Dreams of Parenthood
The artwork “Dreams of Parenthood” consists of a series of six photographs assembled into a single collage and represents a metaphorical image of a family. Here, I explore the idealized view of family life that we often see on social media and in advertising. Using lettuce leaves as substitutes for characters, I wanted to show how we imagine starting a family as something easy and ideal, but in reality it is often much more complicated. In the black-and-white photographs, two leaves embrace each other as a couple, and soon a smaller leaf (their child) appears.
As the series progresses, the "leaf family" grows and seems blissfully happy. The monochromatic images highlight the cinematic perfection of these scenes, pointing to how unrealistic expectations of family life can often overshadow the real difficulties that come with it.

This artwork is the part of my big project "Fragile Beginnings". All project here
