THE artwork
Empty Vessel
The artwork "Empty Vessel" reflects the emotional void left by unfulfilled hopes of parenthood. A baby onesie, soft and covered in a bear pattern, evokes the innocence and warmth associated with early childhood. But the faceless straw head, bound by twine, introduces a sense of emptiness and fragility. It feels disconnected, symbolizing the absence of life.
The red-stitched heart on the chest bleeds downward, representing emotional pain and loss. While the onesie suggests love and nurturing, the figure itself remains lifeless, emphasizing the haunting experience of longing for a child that isn't there. It speaks to both the hope and the heartache tied to the dream of becoming a parent.

This artwork is the part of my big project "Fragile Beginnings". All project here
