The Art Installation
The Illusion of Radiance
The installation "The Illusion of Radiance" presents a simple home dress (stretched, worn, and marked by the months of early motherhood). It was the artist’s real garment during the postpartum period, now transformed into a symbol. Decorated with cheap lace and fake pearls made of foam, the dress mimics an elegant evening gown, reflecting how a woman may try to return to the world after childbirth. From afar it sparkles; up close, the illusion crumbles. The work speaks to the dissonance between outer appearance and inner state, the pressure to look presentable while feeling physically and emotionally undone.
Behind every smile at a gallery opening may hide exhaustion, pain, and the quiet wish to be understood without explanation. This piece is both a costume and a confession: fragile, weary, and real.

This artwork is the part of my big project "Fragile Beginnings". All project here
